From first conversation to published evidence.
A clear process keeps expectations aligned and independence protected from day one.
Conversation
We discuss the problem, what you already know and what you need to learn.
Scoping
We agree the question, method, data needs, timeline and deliverables.
Agreement
Written terms covering data protection, confidentiality and editorial independence.
Research
Regular check-ins, with early findings shared for factual review.
Publication
A public output, plus a confidential annex and briefing where appropriate.
Before you get in touch.
Will our data stay confidential?
Yes. Institution-level data is never published. We work under written data-processing terms, minimise what we collect, and publish only aggregated or anonymised findings. Confidential detail can go in a private annex.
Can we see the findings before they're published?
Partners review drafts for factual accuracy and to flag confidential information. They do not approve or change conclusions. That independence is what makes the findings credible to everyone else.
Do you work with organisations outside India?
Yes. Our base is in India, but the problems we study are global, and comparative work across markets is part of our agenda.
Is CFCAI a consultancy?
No. We are a research institute. Advisory work exists to put our research to use, and it is always grounded in, and consistent with, what we publish.
How are engagements funded?
Through partnership contributions, sponsored studies and grants. Funding sources are disclosed on every publication.
